In John 13:34 and Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus outlines the mission for His followers establishing our identity and purpose as a church: “Love one another as I have loved you.” and “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Personal Ministries coordinates various outreach initiatives of service and evangelism to the local community. Training and support services with seminars, events, and programs assist members in their Christ- ordained work of helping others know of Jesus’ love through selfless service. We desire to see every member involved in and excited about sharing the good news of the gospel, the redemptive wisdom of God’s truth, and the hope of Christ’s soon return. Our outreach ministries include the following:
A church faithful to the Bible is a praying church that recognizes prayer is essential to a life of Christian discipleship. The Prayer Ministry seeks to foster a house of prayer with passion for the lost as directed in Luke 19:10, to link believers in prayer for renewal and evangelism, and provide intercessory prayer for the needs of both members and non members alike.
Health Ministry seeks to encourage health awareness and personal responsibility for wellness that others might realize the abundant life in Jesus described in John 10:10, who came “that we may have life, and have it abundantly.” The community is invited to attend the popular health seminar entitled, Taste of Health, that meets at the church the 3rd Sunday of each month, March - October, at 4 p.m. This series of 8 seminars features the natural health benefits of whole-food, plant-based nutrition, exercise, water, sunlight, temperance, fresh air, rest, and spiritual renewal. Each program offers vegan cooking demonstrations, a delicious buffet, recipes, and health lecture, provided as a free community service.
The Welcome Ministry seeks to foster a welcoming church led by God’s Spirit, encompassing diversity and demonstrating hospitality that embraces people with God’s heart of love, where strangers become friends and family. Through positive and effective marketing, property presentation, and gracious hospitality, the Welcome Ministry helps identify the church as a growing congregation that welcomes, values, and nurtures visitors and members.
The Literature Ministry seeks to generate interest in the surrounding community for the study of God’s word and proclaim, through print media, the gospel of hope. Bible-based gospel literature is defined as tracts, books, magazines, and DVD’s. By scattering these publications like the leaves of autumn, literature distribution is a faithful partner in evangelism. God uses the printed word to impress the minds of people seeking truth, building their faith and transforming their lives.
Bible Study Ministries
We believe God has given every Christian the privilege of sharing what Jesus has done for him or her as directed in the Gospel Commission of Matthew 28:19-20,. Thus, each Christian is an essential part of God’s plan to reveal His truth to the world. (1) Bible Study Ministry Teams desire to find individuals who are seeking hope through a personal relationship with a living God and loving Savior, and nurture them into discipleship in preparation for His soon return. Trained teams make personal friendship visits to those interests, and are prepared to offer prayer, answer questions regarding Bible study, and present an opportunity to study a series of Bible lessons. (2) Personal Bible Study Options include (a)with a private Bible instructor, (b) via internet, or (c) lessons by mail. (3) Two Weekly Group Bible Studies are held at the church: (a) one on Sabbath morning from 10:00 a.m. - 11:10 and (b) another study on Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm - 7:30 p.m.
